HB 25-1219
HB25-1219 is a Colorado law titled “Requirements for Better Understanding Metropolitan Districts.” It was passed in 2025 and became effective August 6, 2025.
Public Meetings & Transparency
The Board of Directors is committed to transparency and open communication with residents in accordance with Colorado law, including HB25-1219.
The Board will hold regular quarterly meetings in January, April, July, and October, along with an annual meeting and budget hearing each October. Meetings are generally conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person and via Zoom. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed and may be held in a hybrid format, in person only, or via Zoom only.
The District’s annual meeting is open to the public and provides an opportunity for residents to receive updates on District operations and ask questions of the Board. Notice of the annual meeting will be provided in accordance with applicable law, including posting on the District’s website and, when required, by mail or email.
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at the Mead Community Center, 401 3rd Street, Mead, Colorado 80542.

Emergency and After-Hours Contact
The District maintains a process for handling matters of an emergent nature, defined as urgent issues requiring prompt attention that cannot wait until regular business hours due to the potential impact on the health, safety, and welfare of residents or the integrity of District-owned, operated, or maintained public improvements.
Matters of an emergent nature do not include emergencies, which should be directed to appropriate emergency personnel by calling 9-1-1, or routine matters that can be addressed during normal business hours using the contact information above.
